Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

SMP client v6.34 can be downloaded here:

To update, simply close the client, and replace the old .exe with the new one.

PG released their new a5 core for the P6901 WUs yesterday - it's essentially the same as the current P6900 WU, but on the new core. a3 -bigadv WUs will stop soon, so try and move to the new core by updating the client versionas soon as possible. :)

Just a heads-up: we are planning to migrate bigadv from running on Core A3 to running on Core A5 very shortly. Core A5 utilizes the same codebase as A3, but pegged to specific version snapshots. We have 64-bit Linux, Win32, and 64-bit OS/X versions of the core in testing; the initial release will likely be Win32 & Linux.

The new core will require a client upgrade; A5 will require version 6.34 or later. The Linux and Win32 versions of the 6.34 client will be released to the public very shortly. If you are running bigadv work units, please upgrade your clients. That will ease the transition as we start turning Core A5 bigadv projects on and turning Core A3 bigadv projects off.

    Thanks and happy folding!

What about those of us still only using SMP? Do we need to upgrade to GRO-A5 urgently too? Does 6.34 bring any changes to us?

Nah, there's only one a5 WU out right now, and that's -bigadv. When it shows up on the beta projects page, then it might be necessary.

I'd still update it though. :p
