    Hey folks,

I have a ASG Steyr SSG P2. It seems that the spring has worn out so i am changing it. Im just struggling with how to open the cylinder. I understand it involves drilling a small hole near the top but not sure. If anybody here has any info on this that would be great,

    Thanks

There should already be a hole there. Put an allen key in the hole and use the nozzle to help lever it around and unscrew it.

Thanks, do you mean the two holes on top either side of the nozzle. There is no hole on the side of the cylinder.

Yup, last time I worked on one of those there was no need to drill a hole in the cylinder.

Do you need to put an allen key in both holes? Thanks for the prompt reply.:)

Ive tried that but there is nothing in there with an allen head , just blank meatal, There is no movement in the holes. Should the nozzle unscrew?

The nozzle screws off the cylinder, it should not be too tight.

I use a needle nose pliers myself. Stick both ends of the pliers in the holes and just turn.
