It will a great election if both Mary Hanafin & Mary Coughlin dont get elected. They are both absolutely useless and bring noting to the table.

    Nothing new learnt?

We find out that one of our current senior ministers dosen't have the slightest clue why HER PARTY paid 750M to bondholders, who were NOT covered under the guarantee and who we had NO moral obligation to pay.

We also find out that a potential senior member of the next government clearly has no idea what is in arguably the most important section of his party's manifesto.

It is simple: we are screwed beyond belief.

Well it is our own fault for electing teachers, publicans, country solicitors and the local cute hoors to run our country.

Time after time, politicians get elected in Ireland on "de local issues" or "sure didnt i know your father" rather than based on their ability or expertise.

I have said it so many times, we get the politicians we deserve.

Someone at the table should be keeping notes. Catch any contradictions.

It's the stupid system we have though. Who needs 100+ local politicians in the Oireachteas making the big decisions? We desperately need to separate county council from state government, under a new system that has local politicians doing local jobs and ministers who reside in the Dáil with the knowledge and understanding (and perhaps training?) to tackle large issues. If they were to abolish the Seanad as it currently exists and effectively make it into Dáil for local politicians we could be getting somewhere (I dunno how this would pan out in practise but it seems like a good idea to me). In theory proportional representation sounds nice, but it doesn't work. Now if only there was a party talking about big-scale change to government, but there's not. We only have people squabbling over the Seanad and the presidential term of office. How then do we choose the man for the job that no-one is talking about?

VB was on fire night last he made a complete ass of Sargent straight after this about the green party minister rotation deal.
A while later he humilitated hanafin by getting her to read out a section of newspaper, VB (teacher) /hanafin (pupil), the minister was not impressed.
This kinda thing isin't gonna save the country, but its always nice to see um squirm.

Which begs the question, why were they elected in the first place?

I personally don't think it makes much difference who gets elected. The country is fcuked & no one has a magic wand to fix it. Fair enough if they can make some difference but whoever gets in will have some job on their hands.

Best of luck to the next Government because they are going to need it.

I've always despised Mary 'Rat' Hannifan. She's 'party' to the bone. I had to turn off the interview with VB as her scummy bullshit was making my stomach ill.

First clip is Fianna Fail's Mary Hannifan(Minister) and the second is Fine Gael's James Reilly.

Vinnie Browne shows them up for what they are and rips them apart. Two of the most pathetic performances I have ever seen from politicians.

    Cringeworthy stuff.
Lovely,i,m wrcked from trying to figure out who i want to vote for and stil undecided,
cant watch the whole clip as i may self combust,
where is my commitment to road tax?
I paid my road tax and I have just purchased yet another tire for my car (85euro)and cant afford to replace the ballcock after it was fxxked after hitting another mother of a pot hole, the roads are a disgrace
and we have paid out millions to bond holders(who are they?)and Mary Hanafin hasnt a clue why????????? bloody hell

If either of them brought notes to the table you can be pretty sure they cogged them off someone else who may even have gone to the lecture.
