Have a Grundig 500GB that i bought in Maplins in Belfast and i believe they are all made by the same company. They make BUSH, GRUNDIG, GOODMANS ......etc.
Have mine over a year now and it has never let me down. Works as good today as when i got it. Picture is perfect and the recording facilty is fantastic. Is it a 320gb you saw.? Good value.

As it's in the same price bracket as the Humax there's no comparison. Go for the Humax.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001L5YU36/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d1_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0N4BYGCDSKFES0HF1B4Q&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294

Or ask the lads at richersounds.ie if they can match that price & you can pick it up at Philips shop on Dame St.

They have a thread here http://boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1105

Only get a "Freesat HD" PVR, and ideally one with Diseqc software. Even if you don't have an HDTV.

Goodmans/Bush/Alba was ever the bottom stuff when it was UK. Now it's just badges along with Grundig. Bargain shop stuff. €249.99 is overpriced.

Besides the Humax, which is ACE of course, there is also the Sagem Freesat HD PVR.

€249 is a lot of money for a goodmans. As others have said they are not best quality.

£225 for the 320gb Humax in PC World/ Currys up North. Similar price online.

500gb version also available at a higher price

Humax Foxsat hdr only came out november 2009. Are you sure that's the model you have?
