Only big race really that hasn't a thread here for Cheltenham.
I think it looks a cracker. Pity Time for Rupert isn't going for the GC in my opinion, but is only 7. Worthy favourite definitely but some nice looking improvers in behind him.
I'm on Wayward Prince but think Wymott could be a big danger.

I'd be opposing Time for Rupert and Jessies Dream. Aiteen ThirtyThree could be anything but hard to rate his 2 runs to date.

I think it will be a double priced winner and ill put forward Wishfull Thinking

Just looking at the last few years this race is a bit of a horse wrecker.

Weapons Amnesty, Cooldine, Star De Mohaison, Trablogan have all spent most their careers injured since this race. No wonder some trainers prefer to avoid it.

Anybody think any of the Irish have a shout?

I forgot Star De Mahaison won the RSA. My word, there's a horse who didn't deliver as he promised.

 He had done nothing over fences.

I won't be backing Rupert at that price this early. I have a fair bit on Wymott as I stand and possibly will have more.

I think its worth an ew punt on Berties Dream in the World hurdle, How About Mikael D for the RSa?

I think its worth an ew punt on Berties Dream in the World hurdle, Forget the Form the magic will suddenly appear... ahem. Also Wellforth in the Cross Country on Tuesday Looks like it could have a bit of Gilligan Magic.

What do you know that we don't?

Aighteenthirtythree looks a machine to me, and I'll be taking the chance that he can improve to win this.

But a World Hurdle isn't just a race where a horse comes back to form.

Time for rupert, won well his last two races, both at cheltenham, the opposition was ok
Jessies dream won two strong races vs realth dubh corkskeagh royal. Good ground
Aiteen Thirteen, won against weak opposition.
Wayward Prince, last 3 runs, 3 wins, beat berties dream, beshabar, won ok last time out, has cheltenham form
Wymott, has only won when odds on against weak fields
Bostons Angel, won two very strong fields, Heavy and soft ground suits best
Wishfull Thinking, beat strong field(little josh backbensher, calgary bay) at chelt GoodSoft , 2nd to reve sivola at chelt, won weak field also

Thats all i gathered so far for this race, def think theres value with such a short priced fav

Wymott has form over Wayward Prince over hurdles, looks the biggest danger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

I've backed Wayward Prince. Expect him to be better in a stronger field. Always thought he looked lazy but its seems he wants a real good pace and a jockey to keep his mind on the game. Wymott has hurdles form with him but isn't as highly tested over fences and thats far more important in the context of the RSA.

Only wish I took the 20s when it was there.

I'm on Wayward Prince but would prefer someone with more finesse to present him at his fences. He needs encouragement and plenty of it and thats a plus with McCoy on board. Over all its a positive and a very big one. McCoy could be the perfect pilot for this horse.

Missed the race lads, heard Wayward Prince was closing fast. Was it good?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

He was way too far back butt he was staying on. Got out paced and McCoy did what we all expect of him and snatched 3rd from Magnaminity. No chance with the 1st two from the last.

Ah at least we get our place money anyway.
I'm such a dope. I backed him with lads cos I thought it was NRNB,this about 2 months ago. Could have gotten 20/1 elsewhere but only took 14/1 :(
