    Hi folks.

Just wondering can anyone tell me by looking at the pics if this bonnet is repairable or will it need replacing? If repairable, then at what cost? Anyone got any ideas? Or know anyone in the Louth/Meath area that would do the job reasonably cheap?

    Thanks

not an expert, but would think fixable a plunger would pull out a lot of the dent the problem is any fillers would crack from the bonnet being closed or slammed down

I actually think it would be cheaper to replace from a breakers. 97 starlets in that colour shouldnt be hard to find.

I was thinking that alright, just wasn't sure which would be the cheaper option. Would €100 buy the bonnet from a scrap yard?

That seems like the kind of dent a panel beater will fix for less than 20 euro.
Sure all it needs is a push.

    Try this

I wouldn't think so, good chance the paint will crack and there is a severe crease in it so it won't pop out nicely unfortunately. 2nd hand bonnet is the way to go me thinks if one in the correct colour comes along.

I recon that would pop put with a push from underneath. Sure its worth a try at least surely before you spend money on it....

It wont pop out with a push. Go find a scrap bonnet, it'll be easier.

I got the plunger to it. It just popped right out but there's still a small crease at the front so gonna get a bonnet from the breakers me thinks. Not worth doin imo but it's not my car so needs to be done unfortunately.
