SERIOUS ISSUES with Triax ST-HD527 Combi "PART 2" - Buyer Beware

I bought a Triax ST-HD527 and like the other thread about Triax's newer Combi box the ST537. I am getting problems, with the worst one being when I put the device into standby and then power it up again the remote control functions stop working! ie volume, channel up and down, mute, settings button etc... The only working options are the number pad, and the only way to get the remote control working again is to unplug the box and do cold restart!

Oh and I have checked and it is not some parental control lock!

This is pure crap Triax and what ever distributor is selling these devices to the Irish market!

Triax seem to be releasing beta products on the market for the end user to test.

I am not happy:mad:, and will be returning my Combi box.

I will never buy a Triax Product again!:mad:

Personally I'd only buy their dishes.

I assume their aerials are OK ? I've just bought a Unix 52 CD W for Clermon Cairn reception.

Yes it's OK, there are some "baking foil" copies of it on sale only fit for attic (e.g. don't by the one in Argos that LOOKS like a UNIX52!)

But Blake's SR series are better (For marketing reasons Blake of course have an aerial identical to the UNIX 52).

It's really only a 12 element aerial and a bit much plastic compared to traditional Yagi.
