Now I hate babies at the best of time, but why do people bring toddlers into libraries and have them squeal their tiny rectums off?

I have to finish a weeks work in three days and thought it would be a good idea to do it in my local library to avoid unnecessary distractions at home. Instead, I've been met by screaming johnny whingebag.

    Why are people stupid?

You can get modern new tv's with OFF buttons. they cost a few quid extra, but.

libraries are really quite off putting, not just babies but they are a haven for all kinds of undesirables especially the one in the ilac centre. i know libraries are great etc. but too many weirdos go into them for my liking,

i think as some posters have said , you would be better doing your work at home if you can but you most probably need to use the library near you for research etc.

I thought libraries were quiet places. No children allowed.

I would complain OP if I were you.

then why do they all have kids sections? And most of them run story time at this time of day after school.

    Why can't little Johnny walk?
Because he stepped on a landmine :(

Normally but they have kids times too.

Yeah the one nearest me is used that way too. School finishes and an influx of kids flow in to cause havoc for a couple of hours until mammy/daddy come to pick them up. The 'childrens section' was combined with the desks and wifi section. :(

Agreed, with the way things are going the only internet access some people will have is in the local library. Sadly the internet is now seen as a luxary item for alot of people and they have to cut back.
