Grip Size

In an effort to determine my dip in form I’ve decided to examine my equipment, obvious choice.... I never really paid attention to grip size but I now believe that my grips are too small.

From what I read last night on zee net there is a rule of thumb for grip size; your middle and ring finger should lightly brush against your palm pad. If there is a gap then your grips are too large and if your fingers dig into the pad then your grips are too small.

A grip that is too small can lead to a closed clubface and hook while too large a grip leaves the face open and a slicer ensues

    I have Ping standard grips

Are standard grips with layers of tape underneath the way to go? I see that you can also buy different size grips which would eliminate the need for tape although the former seems more popular

    What do you use?

Yes, I will be asking my club pro and no, I’m not going to Foregolf.

I got the larger grips as recommended by lampkin on 2 of my wedges and i have to say i dont like them at all. I cant wait to change back to regular grips.

I dont notice any difference in clubface position. I just dont find it as comfortable
