Is there any difference in the salary for a graduate in industry?
It would be in a fairly large company approx 600 employees in the mid west.

You'd usually get higher pay but less time off for exams.

How much extra should you expect to get?
I've been made an offer (this morning) but no contract or details on salary so far, I know the company has restructured and is cost conscious, so would like to know if they're pulling the p**s when it comes to salary.

I don't know - I didn't train in Ireland and it was a few years ago now.

When I say more you might be on similar to big 4 but more than small practice.

I started on €22,000 in industry 4 years ago with a €635 salary increase for every exam passed, although I do know two other trainees started on €18,000 but thats because they didn't ask for more.

I work in Industry too, and have been since 2007 - I started on 20k€ and even tho I haven't qualified yet have moved up the chain and am on 37k€+, however I never got my exams paid for & get no study leave just exam leave. Probably why its taking me so long but on the other hand I am treated as a senior member of staff & my lack of a qualification has never been held against me. There are a lot more factors than wage to take into account I think.
