I got a new Samsung LED 37" that came from France. It came with a euro 2 pin plug. Can i just shove the two pins into an the home socket or do i need a proper 3 pin plug with a fuse?

I wouldnt chance plugging it straight into the wall socket , in case you would blow the blessed thing. There's adapters available for €5 or less and if you can afford LED, one of them should be no bother.;)

Is that just a basic 2 pin to 3 pin plug thing?

3 plug pins into the wall, only 2 sockets on the back that your europlug plugs into. Possibly available in your local Tesco.

If it's a regular Euro connector (i.e.kettle/PC type), just get an Irish/UK one and ensure the fuse in the 3-pin plug is the correct rating.
