4th Gen Ipod...Bought in OZ but have receipt???

I've a 7 month old 4th gen Ipod bought in Australia (have receipt) and always having problems with the way it works. Its come to the stage where it's no longer been recognised by the computer. Its never had any physical damage as well protected. Can i get this sorted by Apple store in ireland?? or do I have to send it back…

contact apple.
ring their customer service number and give them the serial number,they'll talk you through the rest.
