    hi my hubby has broken our comp ,brought it to a shop they want to charge 350 before they open it ,just would like to know if there anywhere in kildare shop or private that would have a look at it ,give us a price and hopefully fix it .the prob is the battery connection at side broke and he solidered it but it worked after ,the shop said motherboard is wrecked but they never looked at it any advice be great:D

    If he soldered it he might have damaged it and some private fixer might not like looking at a computer that was "tampered" with. Although I cant see it being a problem them looking at it and letting you know what the story is.

    If you're up in Dublin anytime soon drop into the Square. There's a shop on the top level beside the old cinema, they have 25 euro fee for assessing what repairing it will cost.
