Ok well here's the story, fell in love with a best friend about 2 years ago and spent every minute of our time together basically since then. They liked me at the beginning but I didn't like them, after some time my feelings developed for them but they didn't see me that way anymore. Now I do think I'm too clingy, needy I'm just wondering if that could have been the reason they went off me? like if I worked on myself could I maybe get this person to see me differently again? I know it's a long shot and I have probably blown it for sure, but when we are together we really hit it off. Is there any hope? anyone ever in a similar situation? sorry about being a tad vague....

Yes I have been in a similar situation to yourself.

Are you still close friends? If yes, then I would not risk it for this. If they no longer have feelings for you, then it is unlikely to change again. You would lose a good friend forever in this case. Is this worth it?

If you are no longer close friends, then I would advise cutting all contact and moving on for your own sake if not theirs.

I'm not saying give up hope. But just consider your friendship and would be in the best interest of you both. I wish you the best of luck!
