I thinking I'm going to have to bring my iPhone back to o2 to get sent to apple soon.

And just wondering how long does it usually take o get it back ? I suppose it's going to be a refurb? Also, should I just restore my phone to factory settings and leave it like that ? Because I'm on 4.0.1 jailbroken atm.Basically just leave it on the iTunes logo ?

    Thanks alot.

dont bother with o2,just ring apple and tell them you want to return a phone with them.they send you a box for it & return envelope.
i sent mine off a while back (problem with sound) have since got a replacement off them while mine is being fixed.
they send out the return envelopes and replacement fairly sharpish.
havent heard anything since about whats wrong with the phone i sent back or when im getting a permenant replacement.
contacted them on the 5th of feb,got the return envelope, then the replacement and sent the broken one off & they have it since the 18th,not a word since though

also ya,back up your phone and then wipe it id say, mine wasnt jailbroken though so im not sure.

You have your replacement. You won't hear back from them again, unless it has been seriously abused.

I got a box out from apple, sent it off on the Wednesday and got it back the following Wednesday.

Sure warranty doesnt apply to jailbroken iphones . If you send it they wont fix it / accept it. Even you if update it theyll still know that its jailbroken. And i wonder if you have changed the base band before because thats the main thing that can not be changed. If youre lucky itll go through. And as above said sent it straight to apple.

But i paid for a replacement,€29 which is fine by me PLUS €400+ as a security deposit until i sent this current phone back when i received my original or my permenant replacement?
When do i get my €400 refunded?

They only hold the price if the iPhone on a cc they shouldn't have taken the €400 ring them asap and get your money back

They block that money until the phone is returned. Have you actually checked your CC statement? If they have taken it, you need to ring them.

Not unless you seriously abused it.

I can verify this is true, mine was jailbroken from the day i got it, had a problem with the earphone jack and just did a restore to the latest firmware then sent it off in the box they sent me to be fixed under the warranty, got it back a week later fixed.
