    Hello guys,

Just want to introduce a new golf competition for amateur golfers.
We are currently registering interested golfers, and will be ready to start the competition at the beginning of April.

We have registered golfers from Knightsbrook, St Margarets, Dunfanaghy, Carrick On Suir, Moat, Bellewstown, Kilcock, Beech Park, Slieve na Man.

Here is a snapshot of how it works (check http://www.thevgatour.com for full details):
    1.Join the Tour.
2.Play in your own club competitions, but nominate the round in advance as a Tour Round.
3.Enter your score and CSS etc after the round.
4.Follow you progress online during the season.
    5.Qualify for the Tour Final.
    6.Win Fantastic Prizes.

Thanks to the MODs for allowing the post :)

    Hi,

Just looked up the site, If I join your VGA Tour for €50 what do I get??

I don't really get the concept as I would seem to be paying €50 for nothing other then the possibility of a round of golf in September, venue unknown, which my €50 would probably cover. So why not just run comps for an entry fee in various venues, ala TopGolfer, otherwise one big comp for the €50 entry rather than getting €50 off people for what seems to be nothing.

I am just giving my opinion from seeing the site and the info on it. I wish you the best with the venture but it needs tweaking, i think.

    Hi Woody,

Thanks for having a look and for you feedback.
What people like about this competition is that you can effectively compete in two competitions playing a single round. So it means that instead of trying to fit in extra games in an already busy schedule you can nominate an existing round as a tour round; and play against the leaderboard to qualify for the final.
    Most guys fancy their chances playing in their home course, and if you qualify there are only 20 players in the final playing for great prizes ;
set of fitted irons, new driver etc .
That's what you get for your fee, the prizes you will have to win.
