http://answers.halfords.com/answers/4028/product/918490/questions.htm Hi i have this bike for the past 2 years a present from the wife been just tipping around on it a bit but spend 90 percent of its time in the garage .But recently ive gotten back into cycling on the road i have a trek 2.1 and am getting really back into it after a long break .I always fancied going to the likes of ballyhoura maybe doing the green track and seeing how i get on i know the apollo is a cheap bike but will it do me for a few runs to see if the off road is for me seen as my bike fittness is back up to a goodish level id really like to give it a go basically what i want to know is will i end up pushing a crumbled wreck down the hill with everyone saying i told you so.:D

the trek would probably be better suited to ballyhoura.

For a few runs on the easy stuff that bike will be fine, its not as bad as the other apollos. However it wont last long if you hit the rough stuff, if you find yourself getting into MTB, invest in something that was designed for it :)
