What if Fianna Fail offered you...

a week off work in a sunny location - fully paid for. Nothing too fancy - Crete or Turkey or the like, in exchange for your vote.

Would you vote for FF then?

Searching my soul, I wouldn't do it for a week's holiday. But, if I was offered a nice big detached house in a lovely location, I suppose I would exchange that for the possibility of another Fianna Fail government - although the very thought fills me with dread.

So, could you be bought? And for what price?? Or is it just not worth it for anything that could be offered?

    Yes.

    Id bring phasers.

..and bury her neck deep in sand.

Then place a laptop in front of her and let her look at 100's of new threads being started in AH and due to the position in the sand, she is unable to reply in post 2,3, or 4, hence causing a build up of pressure in her head causing it to explode.

Then i would, laugh, then apologise, then feel guilty, and i would assume her name on the internet.

I'll do it but if it's Jim McDaid ferrying me to the polling station 3 weeks in the Maldives is the quid pro quo.

You can't pretend - they know!!

I'd do it too if they paid off my mum's mortgage. But I wouldn't feel good about it. How would you feel?

Nah, if came from FF the travel agency would go bust, you're nice big detached house would be in a ghost estate and you would end up paying a fortune to get yourself out of the mess they created.

I guess I'd feel kinda dirty but it'd feel great to give my parents that kind of security. Worth it imo .

I'd still rather give them a week (or 260) off work.

If they paid off my parent's mortgage i'd consider it. They'd still never get back into government so it'd be a win win for me!

A week in te sun? No bother. Suckers dont realise my vote can be bought for a lot less than that.

I would accept it with open arms. But I've been bribed for less from them previously. I'm a diehard Fianna Fáil supporter and will give them my vote through the toughest of times in their history

I know. I'd do it for my family in a heartbeat - but what would we be doing for the country!

See, that's the thing. They're not just extending this offer to you. They're putting it to all the voters, so, by accepting the offer, you're part of a group which is most likely going to put Fianna Fail back in power.

Thye can offer what they like, still wouldn't believe it

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

No I wouldn't. It's because I'm better than all of you.

Scary thing is they have been buying our votes with our money for donkeys years and still some people will still vote for then.

The question is academic until they have enough money / power to make god on promises, then it's a question of whether they would honour the promises they being politicians and all that, only at that stage is it worth considering the options , and then only if the offer is enough that you'd never have cause to regret it.

For lots of people the income losses of the last two years and the foreseeable future would be far beyond the coffers of FF to turn even the most marginal marginal

Hmmm.....one week holidays in return for another 4 years of suffering the effects of corruption and incompetence ?

    No.

Besides, if FF said they'd give me a week in Turkey, I'd expect them to twist the facts and the wording of what they said so I'd end up with stuffing and brussel sprouts in my hair.
