Has Mary Hanafin run out of election posters? I spotted this newly put up poster on the Stillorgan Road this evening. I assume she's recycling the Yes to Lisbon leftovers.

Fair play to her for recycling the posters. Better than binning them anyway.

Perhaps she was so impressed by the "great" performance of the Greens in government and she's considering a move.

Can you imagine the abuse she would get if she had been caught dumping those?

I noticed the same thing today and thought it was weird. But what i found weirder was he lack of other posters, i cycled along the N11 from Cherrywood to Newtownpark Ave and i think i only saw one poster from her, it gives me the impression she isn't too bothered, maybe she's complacent and expects to get elected. I saw more posters of Martin and he's not even in that constituency.

Maybe she knows that nothing she says or does now will affect the result for her?

FF aren't in great shape financially so i don't think she could afford anymore new posters

Mannix Flynn (Ind) in Dublin SE is also reusing posters from his successful local election campaign in 2009. Makes sense to reuse them!

Seems only common sense to reuse the posters if you can

I'm all for recycling but perhaps she should have had a little think about that poster, what exactly does she want us to vote YES to?? If she had amended the poster to say "yes we made a complete bo***cks of the country, if you agree please vote yes" then we would all have agreed!!

Well you happened to cycle along the revised boundary between Dublin South and Dun Laoghaire for most of your journey, presumably on the Dublin South side so your observation is not too surprising as she is standing in Dun Laoghaire and not Dublin South as the thread title incorrectly implies (at time of typing).

It is a little odd that, given the N11 would inevitably be used heavily by large numbers of voters from both constituencies that the candidate posters are, as far as I've noticed, strictly placed on the respective sides of the dual carriage way with party/leader posters on both sides. Or are there strict rules about this? I did notice one Shane Ross bus shelter ad on the Dun Laoghaire side but presumably a paid advert is a different story if there are such rules.

Can we not just rid of these shagging posters anyway? There's a roundabout on the south side of Bray that is absolutely infested with all sorts of amature constructions and posters. The sight lines are hugely compromised and its very dangerous , never mind unsightly, imho.

Its a typo, its meant to read "Mary Hanafin; Asks you to vote? Yes."

That poster appears to have had a sticker over "Yes" which is now gone.

Well Hanafin may have realised that any poster with her face on it simply makes people want to vomit. Hanafin will not get a vote from myself , my neighbours, my friends, and any of the 35,000 + nationalised Irish citizens or second generation Irish born non-whites. Just as those who support gay rights will not vote for Lucinda Creighton, those who condemn racism will not vote for Hanafin. She should try to learn from this you tube video launched by the Immigrant Council of Ireland, and realise that many non white people have the vote too, but not for her:

Spotted that, but it still doesn't make sense.

"Mary Hanafin asks you to vote"

We will, Mary, for everyone except your corrupt shower of incompetents.

That'd hardly be what she wants us to do, but it would match what the poster would say.

The sticker probably said "NO 1"
