How would Sinn Fein tackle the issue of same sex marriages and the right for two males to adopt children? Does their manifesto extend to this level of detail?

Sinn Féin supports same-sex marriage, and all the rights that go with it (ie: adoption etc..).

They'd rather have a catholic woman marry another catholic woman than a protestant man :P

No in all seriousness their social policies are generally much more in line with 21st century thinking than FF or FG.
