New to Dublin and just wondering if anyone knows of any recommended shops that deal in coins, stamps, and silver. I have the items that I would like to get valued maybe sold.
coins are mix of British halfpennies/pennies from 1799 onwards (worn)
    lots of old international stamps
few pieces of silver ie serving trays, cutlery, bowls etc
Few fountain pens also circa 1960's
Would be grateful if anyone knew of a reputable dealer as dont want to get dodgy dealers! also how much would you pay for a valuation approx?

Miss Choc, on the stamps side, main dealers would be Cathedral Stamps which is in a side-street opposite the GPO and upstairs inside a sports shop. Also MacDonnell Whyte in Leinster Road, Dublin 6 which runs auctions on a bi-annual basis and also deals mainly in Irish material.

Collectibles Corner also runs regular auctions of Irish stamps, coins and general ephemera.

Details of all are easily found on Google, etc.

Thanks I'll check out the place on Cathedral street I dont think my items would be valuable enough for auctions. I have a book of hinged stamps and a big bag of single ones hopefully they may take some of my hands

    ebay?

Spend some time searching for comparable items and see what they go for, sometimes you can get good prices.

and you dont have to deal with any dealers (who will all try and pay you as little as possible, thats their job).
