Signing on

    Friend of mien finishing up work next week, and has few queries on signing on

    Should he go immediately to the dole office to sign on, or will he need to wait for a P45? I presume there's forms to be filled in, are they available in the dole office?
    Does anyone have an idea how long it's taking them to process a claim atm?

    Thanks for any help on this

    He can go immediatley he does not have to have his p45 he will need photographic id eg. passport and proof of address recent utility bill or bank statement. He can download the application form from welfare website and have it completed before he goes in

    Depends from office to office how long a claim will take but in general JSB should only take 2-3 weeks.
