Should really leave up what the problem was and how you fixed it. Might help others with the same problem!

I can't see any videos on Youtube. The screen stays black and none of the controls appear when I click on a vid.

I can watch vids that have been embedded onto threads in Cool vids and pics and links in AH but if I try to watch the same vid directly on Youtube I get the blank screen.

The suggeested vids on the RHS of the youtube page are there but if I click on them I get nothing.

    Any ideas? Thanks

This is the original post. OP how did you sort it? It's not exactly fair to go deleting your posts. Others may find the info useful.

My apologies, I should have edited the title rather than just deleting the text.

On Firefox, the problem was as detailerd in Alanstrainor's post above, black screen when trying to view clips on Youtube.

I solved the problem by clearing the cache in Firefox...

    Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Clear Now.

Probably one of the simplest things to resolve for anyone with half a clue so that's why I didn't follow through with the original post.

    Hope it helps someone else
