At €369.99, it's not bad from a local shop. Also seems to be in stock in a lot of the shops.

I like the fact that it comes with 4 HDMI inputs; something I don't think I've seen very often, if at all, on a TV of this size.

Not sure about the model number but I saw similar spec Sony TVs at Marks and Spencer (Dundrum Shopping Center). Price was just a bit more as far as I can remember but could be worthwhile checking if you can't find it at Argos.

The version heffsarmy linked to does 'freeview hd' as well, which means it can recieve Saorview / Irish DTT, afaik.

Got the Sony KDL-32EX403 mentioned by heffsarmy this morning. Had time to scan in the channels before work and first impressions are favourable! Big step up from my four year old samsung and the EPG looked well.

Looking forward to seeing how the wifi bit works later.

    Hi mate,
You using an external aerial to get the Irish Digital channels?

Yeah, standard external terrestrial aerial. I ran back to the house with it and plugged in the aerial. Select country and the scan picks up the digital services first, then the analogue. On digital option the radio stations and tv stations are all listed in the same view. I'm not sure if i can change that. I'd prefer to switch between radio and tv modes..but not a real problem.

Its a fixed stand, so no tilt and swivel.

I quickly had a look at the EPG. I haven't checked teletext on errortel yet. The extra HDMI should be handy. I'll test the recording on usb later and youtube..but as i said, initial impressions are good. Maybe my old tv makes it look that bit better though!

Col, I bought a rabbit ears with a digital receiver on it I think but sometimes signal is very bad. You have a model you could recommended?

I wouldn't be an expert. You should probably post in the terrestrial forum here..lots of smart installer types posting there!

I would think your problem is the rabbit ears, and it won't be solved by the tv..there may be a way of boosting the signal somehow through that.

It doesnt actually come with the Wi-fi dongle. Its Wifi ready, as opposed to wifi enabled. I just saw the wi-fi logo on the box in the morning and thought i might have got really lucky! I might get the dongle later i suppose and it wasn't on my mind when i bought it.

Banchang, do you have the tv? Its just the standard digital programme guide..looks well.

    Collecting mine today.
have also ordered a Vonets VAP11G wi-fi bridge through ebay as the over €70 for the SONY dongle seemed saucy!
I'm a novice so setting it up should be fun!

Big thanks to heffsarmy as I originally had ordered the 401 for the same price.
I'm replacing a SONY CRT lump so looking forward to the extra storage space already!!
