Wow Dress needed for family wedding

hi i've my brothers wedding coming up in may and need to start looking for a dress but my problem is i dont know where other than beverly hill in galway so any suggestions, will travel with in reason
looking for something thats got the WOW factor as its my first family wedding that i'm not a bridesmaid so all excited about deciding what to wear
i'm a size 8 and aged 23

If you are to be a bridesmaid at the wedding wont it be the bride who will choose what you will be wearing? most of the bridal shops do bridesmaid/debs dresses also. for striking dresses look up jovani (tho some can be a bit ott)

What about www.dresses.ie ? I bought a dress there for my Christmas party and loved it...I'm sure there are other sites available if you have the time to look around

I think there was a thread on dresses.ie and it got a lot of bad reviews regarding quality,appearance, etc.

Really? I only bought the one dress to be honest...I have friends who are always buying from different sites - can't remember any of them right now though!

+1..... They have gorgeous dresses that would be perfect for something special. I'm dying to have an occasion to go to so I have an excuse to get one!:)

The second one is stunning Mood, I thought the OP might like different styles, at a recent college event saw quite a few of my friends in dresses like above 18-22 mostly. OP have a look at Mina sometimes they have dresses suitable for occasion wear, Also Vivienne Holloway is stunning for a 1950's look.

Is it just me, or is it a bit inappropriate to wear a dress that is cream/ivory/off white like some of the ones posted??

That one is beautiful Quiet thought and half price, They always seem to have a sale. I got a few dresses form them a while back and the quality is fantastic.
Lately I've noticed people wearing cream and ivory to weddings the dresses might have a little detail in another colour, I guess it is slightly inappropriate I also feel a bit strange wearing black to a wedding.

I would defo try coast if I were you. I'm not sure if there's one in Galway, but even if there is I'd buy online. Got my bridesmaids dresses there and when I bought in store, they were slightly marked or torn when I got them home. When you buy online they're from a warehouse so they're perfect. They do gorgeous stuff.
Also debenhams have nice dresses. Not as wow in my opinion as coast, but you can also buy on their irish site if there's not one near you.
