    Hi

I am looking to buy a car for around 3000-4000k, ideally a hatchback.
I ve been looking at peugeot 307's. There seems to be good deals for 307s out there at the moment.
I ve read up a bit about them and the reviews were nt good, but are they really that bad? and if so could you recommend another car, i would nt be doing that much mileage so petrol is fine.

    Thanks

They're a bad car, old 1.4 engine not up to the job, 1.4 diesel the same, not great to drive and have a justified bad reputation.

Civic would be a good alternative

The 307 is very hit and miss when it comes to reliability. Some owners swear by them while others swear at them. They can suffer from various electrical problems. You could get a good one but personally I would not take the chance.

My money would be on a Focus, Mazda 3, etc.
