Just starting to take lessons now (ridiculous, I know ) but looking ahead I was wondering:

    a) which/type car to go with,
    b) whether insurance is all that different now that I’m 27,
    c) whether €3,000 (before insurance) is too much/too little to be spending
    d) and if there are any questions I should be asking about this I haven’t!

    Cheers

Fiesta 1.25 Zetec is always a good bet as there are loads about. With such choice you should be able to find a good one easily.

Make sure you get some insurance quotes on the car before buying it. No point in buying a car and then find out you cannot afford to insure it.

    My recommendations:

    Ford Fiesta 1.25 litre
    Toyota Yaris 1.0 litre
    Nissan Micra 1.0 litre
    Fiat Panda 1.2 litre
    Renault Clio 1.2 litre
    Ford Ka 1.3 litre
