Played here today following good reviews. The course is amazing and the best course I have ever played. It gets to the top of list above Palmerstown house, Lough Erne, K Club, Druids Glen, Slieve Russell. For anyone within reach of this course. Play it............! special offer on til March 17th for only €25. Best golf money you will ever spend and worth the drive from Dublin. Its only 10 minutes from Dundalk

Playing Bay Hill in Orlando next week but dont think it will be a patch on this course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are offering some good deals on Associate Membership.

I rang them last summer about it and the lady that answered was so helpful. I could hear what sounded like good 'craic' going on in the clubhouse in the background. Good to hear they are keeping th course in top condition. Let's hope this club survives!

I would have joined if it wasn't 40mins away.

You wouldnt be puffing it by any chance? If not, best not to use phrases like 'helpful staff' and craic in the clubhouse. Puffers usually cant resist saying what nice people they are in their club.

I dont see anyone mentioning the course being kept in top condition here either....so what would prompt you to say so?

Particularly when your post count is new. In response to a new post count OP. Which is effusive in its praise. For an estblishment looking for business.

But maybe I'm just a cynic. Or maybe not.

Nevertheless. It is a fine course.

Just posting my experiences dealing with them but can now see how it might be taken the wrong way.

    I won't give any more comments :)

I have played this course a heap of times it's my favourite course in Ireland , every time I have been there the course has been in top top condition the greens are some of the best I have played anywhere on any course.
The staff are some of the best I have come across, always full of chat and friendly.
This course is a bargain, as someone else said, if I lived a half an hour nearer I would join it in a heart beat "this course has it all" top marks.

I'm just glad to see they are surviving. It would be terrible if something that good went under due to money issues.

I plan to play a few open comp's there this year.

Played it thursday and enjoyed it a lot. Its the best course Ive played in this country at least. I suppose Im nitpicking now but every time we play it its a 5hour round, slow play seems to be a major problem in our experience at least. Its a very long track also with a lot of long 2nd shots
with wind usually a major factor. A mate of mine, playing it for the first time thursday, said he thought it was a spectacular course but just too difficult for the average player.
Either way its well worth a visit and is a great test of golf in my opinion.

I asked my local pro about it and he reckons for the average player, it could get a bit much playing there every week. He thought I'd be better keeping it as a 'special' to play a few times a year.

Couldnt disagree with that Andy. Just looking at the card and its nearly 7300yds from the back sticks and 6900yds from the gold tees.
My mate felt like he was trying to pound every shot rather than rely on accuracy and finesse to get around. He is a 14 handicap by the way.
