Itunes freezing, iPod beeping constantly while listening to music on the computer

    My iPod is about 5 years old, it's an iPod Mini. Whenever I listen to it on iTunes on my computer, after 15 or 20 minutes it constantly freezes and the songs start jumping after stopping for about a minute. While the music is stopped, the iPod starts beeping. Is there any way to fix this problem?

    If its a Mini, its a hard drive, and after 5 years, its probably on the way out.
    If you go to apple.com.ie and support, look for iPod troubleshooting. There should be instructions on how to run the diagnostics on the hard drive. You might get away with erasing the drive completely and restoring as there may be errors on the HD as well.
