Was on a road trip to Kerry last Saturday, four of us in the car. We were playing music and the two in the back seat kept saying to turn up the radio louder as they couldnt hear properly, i was driving and was nearly deafened by it, so i realised the 2 speakers in the back dont work but the 2 in the front work no problem.
Anyone any idea why this is?

Press fad or fade and then turn the dial to 0.

It should be or it might be down as something else on that. Just fiddle around with it. Remember 'BAL' or 'Balance' changes the sound from left to right.

Have tried that, the Balance is at centre, the 2 speakers in the back dont work at all, ill try the fade thing.
    Cheers for your help Plug

Try press a button, you might see on the screen F7 or something like that.

Are there actually speakers in the back? You may see the speaker grilles but they may not be there. You don't mention what year your Polo is. Some older lower spec Polos don't have rear speakers fitted.

maybe your friends are deaf, if the 2 lads in the front were being deafened in a small car like a polo then the two in the back should have found it very loud as well

The speaker covers are on all models but there may not be speakers behind those covers.

if you shine a torch through the cover you may be able to see the speaker or if you pop off the corner of the door trim you should see some speaker wires going to speaker if there is one there

Had a look today on the back doors on my car, looks like there no speakers in the back seat. Ah well
