What was the story with the car crash across from the college bar today? One car had rammed another from the side.

It was part of a Road Safety Authority promotional event that was run this week.

yup, they cut the cars open and stuff. Dont know how useful that was. We all know the 'dangers of drink/drug/sleep driving' at this stage. Those that do it, are going to do it anyway.

Teaching people to drive better might be a more sensible solution.

Including motorway driving and complicated round-about navigation in the test would help.
And how to operate the fscking indicator.

Considering all the participants did so on a volunteer basis, I think it was a great thing to do.

Granted it wasn't life changing stuff, but fair play for the emergency/volunteer services taking their own time to bring home the realities of messy RTC's

People who drive dangerously know perfectly well how to drive to drive properly, they're just too stupid to do so.

I think a two tiered driving test (i.e. the one we have now, then an advanced course for night/badweather driving, motorway driving) would be really helpful in reducing accidents.
