Didnt see a thread open for this so will open thread for my favourite race at the festival. I have backed 5 winners in the last 10 years of this race and Katchit and Detroit City were 2 of my favourite horses.

Won a packet when Katchit won the Champion and have lost a fair bit on him since. Lost a fair bit when Detroit City was beaten in the Champion. Cant quantify why i love the winners of this race so much but i do and here is the betting for this years event

I like the Alan King pair of Kumbeshwar and Smad Place.

Kumbeshwar was beaten recently but it was on horrible ground so best forgive him the run. He is engaged in the Adonis Hurdle at the weekend so should know more after that. He is currently 33-1. His falt form would leave alot to be desired (mid 70's rating) but was nice winner on his hurdles debut.

Smad Place is 2 from 3 over hurdles and currently rates 12-1. He finished 3rd in Grade 1 at Chepstow in January.

Unaccompanied was fierce impressive for Dermot Weld recently but Ireland has a horrible record in the Triumph of late.

Unaccompanied was good but in its description it's said she did it 'Very easily' Didn't look so easy to me watching the race.

Oh and Weld's festival form leaves a lot to be desired.

Henderson seems to have an army for this and just something about A Media Luz has taken my eye, im on @25s and if he settles early could be a real superstar imo.

Sam Winner at 10's for me. 2/2 at Cheltenham, I'd forgive his last run as the ground wasn't ideal.

I think he won the Triumph before though.

Rare Holiday I think it was late eighties though, anyone able to confirm how many attempts he has at it since?

UNACCOMPANIED win at Leopardstown from sporting life
Analysis: A taking performance from , although on first impression the race doesn't look that strong. Mind you, the way that this strapping four-year-old filly cantered into contention before the last flight, and then ran on well to the line, her performance reeks of class. She wasn't 100% fluent at all of her hurdles but she jumped fairly well in the main and has pushed her nose firmly into the JCB Triumph Hurdle picture, although fillies haven't fared too well in the contest since Mysilv and Snow Drop in the 90's. As with a few races at the track, the field bunched up just before the turn for home. Indian Daudaie tried to make a move around the outside when the sprint began but he was fairly well held, although he helps give the form a bit of substance after his previous Cheltenham run. Sailors Warn did best of those coming from a little further back, and he looked a danger briefly approaching the last. However he couldn't close the gap on the winner, but this previous winner ran a very solid race. Fearless Falcon took third after making most of the running, and this tough individual gives another angle to the form. He had previously chased home the second horse at Punchestown, and although he wouldn't have reversed the placing with a better jump at the second last, the mistake certainly didn't help his chance. Further back Chaperoned ran well in fourth, and he should have no problem shedding his maiden tag, whilst Louisville Lip disappointed in last. He was far too keen but it still goes down as a very disappointing performance.
Had it in my head Unaccompanied is more favoured to left handed galloping tracks and not undulating

Zarkander won well and finished with plenty in the tank, this looks a good prospect for getting up the hill in the triumph odds halved 33s into 16s
