Planning a round the world trip for next year and hoping to take in South America, Oz, New Zealand and South East Asia while probably working for a little in NZ or Oz. I was wondering what the best and cheapest way to go about this is in relation to flights.

    Any advice appreciated.

Have heard trailfinders and usit do this alright but thought there may be cheaper online alternatives people have used. Away for the week but will probably try them when i'm back. Thanks

Just had a quick look there and did a test itinerary. Came out pretty expensive. Did you get quotes from the travel agents and then go back and match the same flights? Its hard to work when it doesn't show you the price of flights individually and just an overall at the end.

I was actually in Korea at the time. Irish travel agents were no good to me cause i wasn't starting from ireland so i went to a STA travel agency over there. It worked out about 400 dollars more through them. I also matched the flights individually and it was working out about the same price.
