Ok just thought id ask on here first what my chances are for a loan and whats the best place for one.

Im looking for one around 10,000, yeah i know alot of money but i owe money to my brother(who is out of work and needs the money back) which i borrowed off him to buy a car and i also want to go on holidays.

Not sure if im even setup in CU or not.

Im 21, a student, recieve around 600 a month of a grant until may, then in the summer i will recieve around 170/180euro a week, iv been with BOI for about 4 years and i use the account often and have savings of 4,000 in it,its my first loan so just wondering what are my chances?

    Thanks

The fact that you have 4000 saved in Bank of Ireland will stand to you so it is more likely that they will lend to you over the credit union. You will need a Guarantor to sign for you for that amount though i.e someone who has a house or has a substantial amount in the bank with a good credit rating. I would try the bank first and if that fails transfer your funds to the credit union and try there at a later date
