I am planning a holiday and I can fly from Cork or Dublin.
I usually fly from Shannon or Cork as I find it easier to park etc,
but in light of recent events would it be safer to fly from Dublin.

Wouldnt let that incident be a factor.

Choose by convenience, cost, destination, parking etc but an unfortunate incident can happen anywhere.

To Be honest i flew out from Cork airport the following day....and i saw the crashed plane and the camera crews.etc.and to be honest it would not in anyway put me off from flying out of Cork airport..who is celebrating its 50th aniversary this yr and this is the first tragic accident that this airport has to deal with...
i find Cork airport less stressful than Dublin and i am in a better Frame of mind getting on a flight from Cork and flying into also. and above all Happy holidays

This is exactly why I despised the content of the coverage of that tragic accident. There was an aviation 'expert' all-but saying that Cork was a dangerous airport to fly to. In it's 50 year history, this is the only major incident. Choose whichever airport is more convenient to you!

I flew into Cork a couple of days after the accident. The fact that there has been an accident in Cork Airport would not put me off at all.

I much prefer flying out of Cork rather than Dublin. I find the parking easier, shorter queues for security and easy to get around.
