My sister bought a car bike rack similar to this. The problem is that her bike is heavy enough and shes not strong and really struggles with lifting the bike onto the rack.
I was just wondering is there a more user friendly mountable bike rack out there or anything more convenient?.

you can get a thule towbar mounted rack similar to the 909 below where you can get a ramp attachment also to wheel the bike onto the rack so no lifting involved. Expensive piece of hit though.

If your sister has a tow bar these are a lot lower for lifting your bike onto, I have this one on adverts.

Reason for sale, 3 of us travel to sportives and we purchased a rack to carry 3 bikes.

Tar, she just got back to me on this, she doesnt have a tow bar!.
Also she said its a ladys bike and thinks theres a snag with these rather than the standard road bike.

Dr_Colossus i cant play the link as its blocked in work. I think i know what you mean as ive seen what you describe when i was googling a biger shot of macadams jpeg.

    Thanks

ladies bike do not have cross bars like mens bikes, where the cross bar meets the saddle tube and the front head set , that is where the bike rests on the carrier in the picture.

must be a hybrid or something and not a racer roadbike, however there is anattachment available in bike shops that attaches to the saddle tube and the front head tube that gives the ladies bikes a crossbar therefore making them compatible with the carier in the picture
