Anyone know where to get a really good seafood chowder in the city? Has to be thick and creamy and oh so fishful!

The cravings are taking hold! :)

Oh dear! Walked over to Curragower in the lashings of rain salivating in anticipation but they only serve 12-8 Friday, Saturday and Sunday :(

Packet soup will have to do!

    I second the Curraghower.

However, after watching THAT episode of Family Guy last night I don't really feel like chowder.

The Locke definitely used to do a lunchtime chowder. Not sure if it still does.

Horse and Hound must be Mulgrave Street alright cos I strolled over to Mallow Street and couldn't see it.

Third shot lucky however and I am feasting currently on a cup of hot 'showwww-deeeer' from Rene Cusack's. €3.50 for a decent size cup, and the fish in it is top notch and plentiful! Plus, now that the weather is picking up I can sit outside and people watch to my heart's content!

Do Rene Cusack's have a cafe? On Alphonsus Street?

No, it comes in a take-away plastic container. They will heat it for you if you want it right then, or else take it home to heat yourself.

Bourke's bar do a chowder every weekday until 4 for €5. Don't leave it to late as it often sell's out.
