Perhaps the Coffee and Tea people will be able to help. They know their stuff!

    Hi,
any health food store that deals with Irish Independent Health Foods (wholesaler from Cork) shoud be able to order it for you. I'm looking at it on the catalog now - they have original and hazelnut flavours.

If you were going to make a 'special order' at the Dubling Food Co-op, you'd have to go for a pack of 6 and its pricey enough, RRP is about a tenner a jar.

There was a request in for something matching it's description before in the Co-op but it's not organic - what's it like?

Thanks for that. I did ask in the Dublin Co-Op last week but they hadn't heard of it before but maybe it was just the girl I asked.

I ordered it from the UK today in different flavours. Haven't tried it before so thought I'd give it a go.

Appreciate your help, thanks for that.

@ paulsgirl, where did you buy it in the end?

I'd love to hear what you think of it, I'm about to give up coffee
as my daily vice, and I love the taste of it. I'm not too fond of the
    jitters and dehydration though!

Got it here: http://www.dragonfly-teas.com Had to spend £35 to get free postage, but I should be kept going for a good while with my delivery! Looking forward to weaning myself off...

Great, thats where I bought mine too. Missed the bit that I could have paid £35 and got free delivery, I spent £27. I bought the Original, Java and the Hazlenut. Only tried the Original so far and am very, very pleased with it.

Doesn't have the same bite as coffee but definitely a good replacement. I use rice milk so unsure what it would be like for a coffee drinker with real milk.

I'm going to ask in the Co-Op Organic Market this weekend about it, I'm hoping one of the guys on the stalls may know where to get it locally so if I find out, I'll post and let you know.

    Happy Teechino drinking. :-)

On the off chance the OP might see this, have you since found anywhere in Dublin that stocks this? I'd love to try it.

    Hi ye,

No, I haven't found it in Dublin. I bought a load of it when I went to the US last year so still using that.

But there is other herbal coffees. You can buy Barley Cup (the granules are better but extremely hard to find) and also Fallon & Byrne have Dandeloin Coffee which is ok.

For me, I can't drink Coffee so its a good subsitute. The Teechino comes in lots of different flavours though. The UK used to stock it but they stopped doing it and haven't found it anywhere other than the US since then.

Thanks for the info! I've been using the Vogel's one 'Bambu' but am coming to the end of the jar so thought I'd try something else. The Teeccino seemed to have lots of positive word of mouth online. Will look into getting the samples from their website. :) And maybe try to find the Barley Cup granules in the meantime! Cheers again though.

There are other alternatives alright to coffee, just gotta keep an eye out for them.

I like the Teechino as it comes in bags like tea bags so you can carry them around in your handbag for when I visit friendsa and don't drink tea/coffee.

If you know anyone going to the US, order a load of them from Amazon to their hotel. :-)

I purchase my Teeccino from an on-line company called Vitacost here in the States, and really don't know if they ship to Ireland or not but it would be worth emailing them and asking. Their prices for all health goods are very low and with that in mind it might be worth it to have it shipped to you.

Yes it does come in tea bags, I purchase it also in large bags and put it in a coffee maker just like regular coffee adding my sugar and cream. It's all good, but my fav is Vanilla Nut.
