Basic Laptop for my mother

    Hi,

I'm sure there's loads of threads asking this kind of thing, so apologies in advance. I think my spec requirements are a bit lower than most though.

I'm looking to find a cheap, basic, but reliable laptop for my mother. It'll just be for internet, pictures, docs... that kinda thing.

The only requirements are at least 15.6" monitor (preferably with the possibility to display at lower than HD resolution for easier viewing - is this even an option?); Wireless connectivity (I assume this is basic to all laptops these days?); and with a built in webcam for skyping.

It would be good (but not essential) to get it from a bricks and mortar so they have someone to go to if they have problems. It seems wrong to buy from powercity, but this could fit the bill:

    some others:

Or is it mad to be spending this much for such minimal requirements?

    Thanks for any advice!
