Amazon Delivery Problem, any advice

    Bought a very large kitchen item from amazon on 12th Feb. Received email on 13th saying that it was despatched to An Post. The email included a tracking number.

    Still waiting on item. Tracking number is coming up invalid every day Rang An Post and apparently tracking number is invalid. Rang Amazon who said it was despatched on sunday 13th so in the hands of An Post now. So basically its completely lost at the moment. Don't know when its going to come. Amazon have said they will refund me the money but its €150 dearer in shops here so not really an option.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAgh. They have told me to wait until 24th February but what happens then. They don't have this item in stock at the moment so not an option to resend it.

    Surely an item this big cannot just go missing? I have a feeling that amazon never had this item in stock in the 1st place and are using this delivery mess as a cover up.

    If anyone has any experience of an item being despatched, having an invalid tracking number and the item still turning up would really appreciate a reply. Am so fed up with it:(

    I had the same issue once when I ordered a new laptop. The tracking number was invalid at An Post and the item did not arrive within the usual 10 days. Finally it was delivered after a period of 14 days and I figured out that it was an issue raised bu An Post as they did not assign the tracking number correctly.

    My advice for you is therefore just to wait a little longer. In case you really don't receive your item give me a shout because I know many more places where to buy anything cheaper...
