How long does it take to get SWA from a CWO?

I was on DA for years but it's been stopped, I'm now appealing it but until the appeal process is complete I will need to get SWA. I've already been in touch by phone wth my local CWO but I forgot to ask how long it takes to actually get paid? I'm going to the CWO to apply for SWA later today, all the forms are completed and everything requested is ready to go. So, how long does it take? Is it paid into your bank or do you collect it at the post office or do you physically have to go weekly to be given a cheque (or is it posted out to you)?

Between my wife and I we have about €4,000 in our bank accounts but as far as we know you can have upto €5,000 and still get SWA. The vast ammount of that money is in my wifes account (maintenance grant money she's gotten for being a maure student) Not that that really matters anyway as it is under the €5,000 threshold. Thanks.

Should be days, maybe a week (if you missed the cutoff etc). Post-office is usual, but not sure in your circumstance since you were on DA etc.

Thanks for that. Was going to apply the other day but leaving it until Friday now. It doesn't matter how they pay me, just as long as they do, lol. I can possibly see a situation arise whereby the CWO will be humming and hawing (having dealth with CWO's over the years - some are fine and some are not, lol) saying that we have thousands in the bank but under the rules we are allowed to have upto €5000 and still get SWA. Thanks again.
