Looking for some lapierre road bike decals - seem impossible to find. Anyone have any ideas on where i might find some?

    Cheers

Common problem, the reason being, the bike makers don't make the decals readily available because con artists stick them onto cheap bikes and sell them off as the real thing.Few weeks later the cheap bike falls apart, and the owners complain bitterly to friends and family about their "big name" bike being rubbish.

    Thanks easygoing,

Makes sense alright. But what do racers typically do when they make sh*t of their bike and need a respray? Just live without the logos? Wouldnt bother me that much but it would be nice to maintain them.

I'd try ebay for copy decals. And I find in a crash the frame decals rarely get damaged, its the seat, handlebars, pedals, brake levers and rear mech that get the road rash!!

You could try making your own using Laser/Inkjet and special paper from
    http://www.lazertran.com./
I haven't any experience myself but I've read discussions on the pros & cons on other bulletin boards

On the subject of decals - what's the best way to protect them.

the decals on my Ti bike are generally fine, but some of the smaller more finely detailed bits are starting to lift.

The bike is washed and cleaned regularly but I'm always careful around the decals when washing and drying the frame.

I was thinking of using clear nail varnish just at the edges / points to keep them in place.
