He seems to play the action hero well to be honest, he does'nt look like he is 58 either. I saw taken and although far fetched he was really good and convincing in it. I hope he continues these roles really.

I really like him as a Actor, I'd go see a film in the Cinema nearly on his involvement alone. Taken was also one of my Fav action films.

Hard to believe he is 58 so I can't see him doing that many more but at least hopefully another Taken :)

I wish he'd do more serious roles and less paycheque movies. But I still really like Neeson as an action hero. He doesn't have to go to the gym to look like he could beat the sh1t out of a bunch of guys.

Indeed, he doesn't look his age and I really enjoyed Taken despite being mostly panned by critics, sure it was OTT but Neeson played it very well and the action scenes were great plus some of the lines and moments were hilarious (In a good way).
57% on rottentomatoes.com, so I don't think they panned it. That's a pretty good score for a disposable action movie, e.g. The Transporter scored 54%, The A Team scored 47% and the first Fast and Furious movie scored 52%. That's how good but brainless action movies are received.

I guess topping the US box office with this and Taken he will get some better scripts for the serious roles as he is proving very bankable.

He's always been great. I only saw this advertised yesterday and was immediately looking forward to it, and I'm very cynical when it comes to films. Hollywood are great are taking a great idea and making it generic and run of the mill crap.
But Neeson is great. I loved The A-Team, and I thought Taken was fantastic. 90% of the time I'm not looking for brain food from a film. Its the time I take to relax!

i though unknown worked well as a psychological thriller as well as action. I do not agree it is particularly implausable as some critics say. i liked taken too

he has just turned 60 and looks like he will be at the top for a few years yet, fair play to him, i think he is a top quality actor

I think he's taken the place of Harrison Ford.
    Does a better job though.
