    If he was such a smart man the he would have insisted on better writing in the show rather than try and make a funny out of it 4 years later.

    A truly smart man would be Trevor Eve who will refuse scripts for Waking the Dead which he finds sub par. He's received a reputation for being difficult on set over it but one of the writers on the show told me that he only does it for the good of the show. Now if Passar really cared for the show and not simply the pay cheque the he too would have gone out of his way to ensure that the scripts were of a higher standard than the frankly shocking quality of the writing from series 2 onward.
