filling (maybe root canal) claiming back

    Hi

I basically got 2 fillings done separately about 8-16 months ago on upper left molars. The filling closest to my wisdom tooth fell out.

I decided to go to a different dentist today instead of my previous one as I had doubts about the work. He checked the tooth and says the filling wasn't put in correctly, there was a gap and decay got in. He is worried about the nerve and said he might have to do a root canal. He couldn't do a filling today as when he was in process he found that the tooth in front of it had a incorrect filling. He said it was basically joining them, making it hard to fill the previous one and causing a hygene issue. He pulled back the gum as it was going into the filling and put in a temp filling for the time being.

I've to go back next week to get this work done. If he thinks a black filling won't be enough, he says route canal with porcelain inlay. That would cost €560 for canal and about €750 for porcelain inlay.

I'm happy with the work as he showed and explained everything every step of the way. Problem is I don't think my VHI Company Plan Plus will cover any of this so would I be able to claim anything back from revenue for the root canal & porcelain inlay?
