Depends if you want them all matching or if the Dads already have suits which they can wear?

Yeah, it's up to what you want yourself. We're having a small wedding but decided to arrange suit hire for the fathers. It's not really about the done thing, but for us it'll help with the day's feeling special atmosphere.

I think that it is the done thing, at least to get the brides dads suit. As more than likely he will be walking you down the aisle and he is part of the wedding party.

It's really up to yourself. I've been to weddings that the Dads wore the traditional morning suit & ones that they wore their own suits.

Some men don't like the idea of wearing wedding suits as they think it's tails, a tux shirt & a cravat they have to go with. But you can get the Dads suits in the shorter suit jacket to match the groom & groomsmen, a normal white shirt & go for a tie in the same colour as the grooms cravat & the trousers will be the same as the groom.

It looks better for photos tbh but they have more comfort & are less self concious. Ask your suit hire man about it & I'm sure you will find an alternative that will suit everyone...pardon the pun :D

Yeah, we're suiting up both Dads as they're part of the wedding party and they'll be the same as the bestman and groomsman.

You don't have to though, at other weddings I've been to the Dads just wore their own suit.

If you can afford to do it, it'd be a nice thing to do. But if you can't or the Dads don't think it's necessary then that's grand.

Or if you decide not to have Dads matching the groom & groomsmen you could buy the Dad's a new suit each for the day as a thank you for all they have given you in the past.
