    Right lads, no NSX, but I need a spare key for my very own super car. ;)

    How do I go about getting one without getting ass raped in a ford stealers?

    The cheapest way i found was to buy a blank key(with blue chip)from Ebay,get it cut yourself & then bring it to ford & they will programme it to your immobiliser,

    or you can get your existing key cloned by a good locksmith(brown brothers in Dun loaghaire did mine) cost €60;)

    can a lock smith get a blank key with a chip for programming?

    can you not DIY the programming?

    Ford are charging €70 for replacement keys AFAIK

    ya, i think thats about right, but thats just to open the door.

    to get the chip and immobiliser is more like 150euro but i am open to correction.

    I have a number of a lock smith in tralee who can clone the actual key but i dont know if this will include a chip.


    Edit: will try RYANS in Limerick, they seem to be able to do transponders and the like.
