Personally I have Free Caddie Pro and Sky Droid on my HTC.....I would go for Free Caddie Pro everytime.

I thought that from previous thread that anything other than a standard GPS device has THE CAPABILITY of requiring information such as wind speed is forbidden. surely any andriod phones would have the capability of downloading such application as wind speed.

    Am i wrong?

    Nope, you're right.
Phones are not GPS devices. They are phones.
Some courses allow phones, some dont.
The GUI says that if the course allows a phone then you can use the phone as a phone but you can't use the GPS function on the phone.
A device that measures distances is different to a phone that can do many things INCLUDING being a DMD.

It's only a matter of time though I reckon, but I see many clubs advertising these adds for iphones.

Surely the course rules don't trump the GUI rules? Maybe they do? I dont' know to be honest.

    Yours etc,
    GSH.
