    Hello Motor People,

I'm looking for a bit of advice, I'm not much of a car person.
I have a second car sitting gathering dust/rust outside my house and I'm trying to decide how best to get rid of it.

    It's a '95 3 door Astra 1.4
Runs OK, could do with a bit of TLC but no major issues with it.
It's about 2 months out of tax.

Would it be worth trying to sell would you think ?
If not then what is the cheapest/easiest way for me to get rid of it ?

    Cheers
    Patrick

    Does it have an NCT?

If not put it on Donedeal for about €250 with a couple of pics and it might shift itself
Make sure and clean it before taking the pictures and it will help it to sell

    Thanks John,

Yeah it has NCT until December.
Would I have to tax it up to date or might someone buy it as is ?

    Cheers

the person that buys it wont have to pay to back tax it so just leave it as untaxed.

I assume you mean NCT until next December so in that case I think if you clean it up and make it look respectable €400-€550 should be possible but it requires you to put a bit of work in cleaning the car and taking good photos.

Don't forget to out it on adverts.ie as well.

A donedeal ad only costs €3 and they are very effective

Sounds good, I didn't think I'd get that for it to be honest.
400-500 quid is certainly worth putting in a few hours graft for !
