New key for Ford Moneo mk2

    Want to get a spare key as I only got one with the car. My plan is to get one from ebay, get it cut (or possibly get ebay seller to cut it) and program it myself. My concern is whether I can do this, or do I need two keys in order to program my own key? Think this might be just with newer models, but not sure. Have been reading up on it and saw stuff about master keys and stuff. Has anybody done this? Or know whether I need two keys or not? Have seen plenty of guides on how to program the key, but nothing definite about whether I need two keys or not!

    My friend also wants to do it with ford mondeo mk3, does he need two keys for that?

    Never ever buy a car with only 1 key. The "missing" one could be used anytime.
